About Care for the Family

Care for the Family has recently taken over the operational responsibility for Who Let The Dads Out? from BRF, which undertook that responsibility from 2012 to 2018.  We will update this page soon with further details about Care for the Family.

The Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF) is a Christian charity that started in January 1922 in an Anglican Church in Brixton, where the vicar wanted to help his congregation, in his words, 'to get a move on spiritually.' He began to offer a monthly leaflet of daily Bible readings, coupled with a midweek discussion group and the encouragement to pray for the parish. This so transformed the spiritual life of St Matthew's Church that before long other churches were asking for copies of the leaflets for their own congregations.

Today, over 90 years later, we work in four areas - Christian growth and understanding of the Bible, church outreach in the local community, teaching Christianity in primary schools and children's and family ministry. BRF's vision is to see lives and communities transformed through the Christian faith. BRF believes, with the historic churches, in one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
